Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said on Telegram on the 31st that he had ordered the military to deliver an immediate response without geographic limits to any enemy threat. Coming three days before the U.S. midterms, the warning draws attention amid concern that U.S. strikes could resume.
According to Kyunghyang Shinmun, citing Reuters, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei said on the 31st (local time) that Iran would confront the United States and Israel militarily without geographic restriction if they attack again. In a post on his official Telegram account, he wrote that he had ordered military units to respond immediately and without geographic limits to every enemy threat.

This reads as a refusal to hand the other side the decision on when fighting stops. What exactly counts as ending the conflict is not explained in the reports obtained.
A 'full update' of the target list
The notable part of the statement is the practical order. Khamenei said he had directed a full update of the military target list so that physical and non-physical U.S. and Israeli assets fall within the reach of Iranian forces. Whether non-physical assets means cyber facilities or financial networks is not explained and cannot be confirmed.
The announcement came three days before the U.S. midterm elections. Kyunghyang explained that the possibility of renewed U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran was being discussed at the time. The paper also reported the same day that mediator Qatar was holding marathon talks with Iran, but how those talks affected this statement is unknown.
Reports of air defenses around Mar-a-Lago
Separately, the United States is reported to have deployed air defenses near the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, where President Donald Trump often spends weekends and holidays. Britain's Telegraph reported on the 30th, citing the Secret Service, that the U.S.-Iran confrontation is one of the main reasons for heightened threats to the president's security. Local outlet the Palm Beach Daily News reported on the 28th that two Avenger air-defense mobile launcher units were spotted on barges on the water around Mar-a-Lago on the 23rd.
The same outlet said another Avenger unit was placed south of Palm Beach International Airport, renamed Donald J. Trump International Airport. The deployment is confirmed only by media reports; no official U.S. statement appears in the material obtained. With Iran's warning and tighter U.S. security reported side by side on the same day, election-eve tension is clearly rising beyond the diplomatic table.
