Seoul led comfortably late into the season. The Kyunghyang Shinmun reported on the 12th that Seoul stood first with 20 wins, 5 draws and 6 losses, 65 points, 18 points clear of Ulsan. With seven matches left, just four more points would secure the title regardless of other results.
Ten years after 2016, a seventh title
The title comes ten years after 2016 and is the club’s seventh. The count includes titles from the era of Seoul’s predecessor, Anyang LG. For fans who have followed the club’s history as one line, it is the fruit of a long wait.
However, details of the moment the title was sealed, the attendance and the trophy ceremony schedule are not included in the Kyunghyang Shinmun reports confirmed so far. Seoul will play its remaining five matches to close out the season.
