Incheon City and the Incheon Tourism Organization are targeting more than 1,000 Chinese tourists over China's Mid-Autumn Festival (Sept. 25 to 27) and National Day holiday (Oct. 1 to 7), with the Jajangmyeon Festival and the Bupyeong Pungmul Festival at the core of the packages.
Sidae Ilbo reported on September 22 that the city and the tourism organization built autumn holiday tour packages with Chinese travel agencies and online travel platforms. The goal is to bring more than 1,000 Chinese visitors to Incheon over the holidays.

The packages combine local festivals and major attractions. They include the Jajangmyeon Festival, which is closely tied to Incheon's Chinatown, and the Bupyeong Pungmul Festival, along with K-culture experiences and visits to traditional markets and restaurants.
On-site events were also planned. On September 29 and 30, a welcome event for ferry tourists was set at the Incheon International Passenger Terminal, run with the Korea Tourism Organization's Gyeonggi-Incheon branch and the Incheon Port Authority, offering information on sights and festivals. On October 4 and 5, Good Fighters 2026 was scheduled at the Wave Hall of Sangsang Platform, with pro and semi-pro matches, youth exchange games and cultural performances; the October 4 pro match was to be broadcast live on OBS Gyeongin TV.
Background and meaning
In July the city also hosted a familiarization tour for travel agencies along the coast served by China-Korea cargo ferry routes. Incheon is linked by sea to Shandong and other Chinese regions, and group tours from China tend to rise during holidays.
Yu Ji-sang, head of the Incheon Tourism Organization, said the customized autumn packages aim to draw about 1,000 Chinese visitors. Because the National Day holiday ended on October 7, actual results will have to wait for later figures.
