광고 문의 · 300×250Permanent residency carries no limit on the period of stay, but the residence card corresponding to an alien registration card must be renewed every ten years, and failure to do so can result in a fine.
Applications should be made before the card expires, either in person at an immigration office or through the online services system.
Required documents include an application form, a photograph and the existing card. Where an address has changed, it is advisable to confirm that the change was reported.
The association noted that older members sometimes miss the expiry date, and suggested that family members keep track of it as well.

Specific documents and fees follow the standards in force at the time of application. Inquiries may be made to the association office or the competent immigration office. (Source: Incheon Overseas Chinese Association notice)
