The board deliberates on programme plans, budget execution and facilities management, while the auditors verify the propriety of accounting and programme implementation.

Matters under discussion

Autumn brings a run of association events, including the seniors' banquet for the overseas Chinese festival and the National Day basketball tournament, so preparations and budget allocation typically dominate the agenda.

Updating the membership roll, dues collection and repair plans for the association hall are also handled on a regular basis.

Member participation

The association asks members with views on any agenda item to send them to the secretariat in advance; written submissions are also accepted.

Decisions that apply to the membership as a whole will be communicated through the noticeboard and formal announcements.

The association said separate notices on registering for events would be posted in sequence.
