대전통영고속도로 장수 분기점 인근 차량 5대 추돌… 2명 사망·11명 부상

경향신문에 따르면 사고는 12일 낮 12시 55분쯤 전북 장수군 대전통영고속도로 하행선 장수 분기점 인근에서 일어났다. 분기점에서 서상나들목 방향으로 약 3km 떨어진 지점이다. 승용차와 SUV 등 5대가 연쇄 추돌했다.

인명 피해

이 사고로 2명이 숨지고 11명이 다쳤다. 부상자 가운데 3명은 중상, 8명은 경상이다. 사망자와 부상자 등 13명은 인근 병원으로 옮겨졌다.

사망자와 부상자의 신원, 나이, 탑승 위치 등은 확인된 기사에서 공개되지 않았다. 중상자 3명의 상태도 알려지지 않았다.

원인과 수사

사고 원인은 아직 밝혀지지 않았다. 경찰은 운전자와 목격자 진술, 블랙박스 영상 등을 토대로 어떤 차량이 어떤 순서로 부딪혔는지, 과속이나 전방주시 소홀 등이 있었는지를 조사하고 있다.

According to the Kyunghyang Shinmun, the crash happened around 12:55 p.m. on the southbound lane near the Jangsu Junction, about 3 km from the junction toward Seosang Interchange. Five vehicles, including passenger cars and an SUV, were involved in the chain collision.

Casualties

Two people died and 11 were injured; three of the injured are in serious condition and eight have minor injuries. All 13 people were taken to nearby hospitals.

The identities, ages and seating positions of the dead and injured were not disclosed in the confirmed report, and the condition of the three seriously injured was not given.

Cause and investigation

The cause has not been determined. Police are using statements from drivers and witnesses and dashcam footage to establish which vehicles hit which, in what order, and whether speeding or inattention was involved.
