휘발유·경유 가격은 국제 유가, 환율, 세금, 유통 마진 등이 복합적으로 작용해 결정된다. 공급 기준가가 내리면 시차를 두고 주유소 판매가에 반영되는 구조다.

다만 호르무즈 해협의 긴장 등 대외 변수가 다시 불거지면 인하 흐름이 둔화될 수 있다. 국제 유가가 오르면 며칠 사이 가격이 방향을 바꾸는 일도 드물지 않다.
